Captain & Crewing Experience,

All yacht deliveries start with a full yacht inspection, sea trial and survey prior to accepting the delivery commission. This is the same survey I would use for a yacht broker or potential buyer and includes a 50+ point inspection of all systems on board whether sail or power 20 foot to 120 foot lengths.

Generally the fee for a yacht delivery is broken up into 3 parts. The first being transport to the vessel and return after the vessel is delivered. The second is the delivery distance paid by the mile. The third is the consumables on board within reasonable standards.These costs and fees are negotiable depending on the delivery particulars and are formed into an all inclusive quotation.

You can figure on $3.50 to $4.00 per mile as a “rule of thumb” for a 2-3 person crew including the captain - on a 3,000 to 8,000 mile delivery - including; return flights for crew - complete provisioning and designated port fees for an agreed to route. (Negotiable)

I am happy to give sailing and power boat skippering and docking lessons and on long deliveries I routinely perform maintenance on smaller vessels as required, or oversee the engineers on larger vessels.

I take my captaining very seriously and as of yet - not lost a boat or soul, or damaged a boat in anyway.
